Paddington, just from reading your winney posts you could never handle a situation like this.
Thankfully this guy is going to be ok and it seems like he chose to fight instead of panic.
Good on him. PJB can take a lesson from him.
I wonder if it is a jump in activity or if every little nibble just gets that more attention thanks to the information age that we live in. Scary stuff sells. Thats why there is always bad news on TV.
^^^ This, not only is the interweb a big reason (too much access to info), but also, this happens EVERY summer, when the water heats up and everybody and their mother gets in the water, it increases the odds of a bite happening. This is nothing new ppl, summer time = warm / hot water = more sharks + more people = more bites.
why? are the sharks aware of the dangers of being on the receiving end of the fitzpedo?
Well, Seldom took care of this, but I guess I'm obligated to chime in. Fitz doesn't have to worry aboot sharks or anything else related to the ocean because he never surfs. He stated in late spring that he hadn't surfed since before Superstorm Sandy. Then recently stated he has only surfed three times this summer.
Of course surfing to him is two foot mush on his log........clipping ten-year-olds, who have no respect for him and drop-in on him, optional......Dude, you get droped-in on by ten-year-olds.
Fitz, keep taking cheap shots at me on a computer. You know everything I say is true, so this is your reaction. Instead of hassling me, may I suggest you actually start surfing. Take a break from this site for a few months and paddle out in anything rideable. Then you can come back and hassle me and actually be relevant. Good luck.
And Fitz there's a BIG difference between anger/disgust and whinning. If I had my way I'd dispose of all the hobbyists.
