Oh and why do people think I'm angry? I ain't angry.

And to those who cry aboot entitlements.......

I've learned something in life: When you think things are going one way and you NEVER expect something to happen.......well it just might. Probably will......maybe...then again maybe it won't

People who complain aboot social saftey nets may in ten years be financially destroyed and living in the projects, collecting welfare, foodstamps and mass reproducing children.

IT CAN HAPPEN. YOU AREN'T SAFE.

Your world can collapse in an instant.............and you repubs are supposed to be Jesus freaks. Well, Jesus ain't greedy and upset at those who need help.

    Ok, I'm Honda 2500.....................

We do have good waves: Pipeline, Wiamea, Malibu, Mavs, Blacks, Montuak, Tres Palmas, OBX. Our women are bodacious. Our food is a multicultural smorgasbord. It is all here in the motherland. If you don't like it, leave it mutha ****as.

way to bring back around to Surfing!

Surfing, that art we all love. Without being forced to love or practice it! That's all we saying! And you know what! The only thing that stood in the way of us haoles knowing about Surfing even earlier than we did was that the ancient Hawaiians were FORCED to not practice it for such a long time by well-meaning-have your best interest in mind-Government types just like so many people here in the good ole USA love to worship.

    Worship on!

Dude, I'll make you a bet. I bet you can NOT take twenty people and run a well-organized commune based upon this anarchist doctrine you espouse. If in one year you have a beautiful community, then I'll be slightly sold......

Dude, you know that people have tried this sh!t before....maybe you just heard aboot the 1960's and listened to Working Class Hero by John Lennon for the first time ........but it's been tried before.

    Guess what? It didn't work......

Alright! You win! There's no way anyone can counter an argument with that many "Dude"'s in it!

Battles imply War. Only State Govts can wage War. No body is saying that VIOLENCE will end with Anarchy. You guys jump too far in linking the need for Government (which would exist in Anarchy!!) and THE STATE (which is the main enemy of Anarchy ). That's a crucial distinction.

Not needed Sir.... Like I wrote earlier...and this is the only point needed for a Surfing crowd....Surfing is with us as an activity today despite HUGE obstacles placed before it by State Government apparatus(i) (es)?
If surfers wanna worship the State...then they must know that they will worship at the altar that tried to KILL OUR FAVORITE PASTIME!!
:-) Great discussion guys! keep your minds open!

All political systems look good on paper, it's the implementation by greedy men that screws everything up.

But we sure did get way off topic...I guess it woulda helped early on to simply state that Libertarians / Anarchists alike wish for a type of government that is MORAL and CONSISTENTLY MORAL. Call that what you will. This comes from the common sense notion that if Government is to be composed of and for the regulation of members of a certain group of people (a Society you could say) then MORALLY that Government body can have only the same rights as do individuals in the society it governs. No more or less. The problem in today's version of Government writ large, is that Government pretends or asserts to have MORE or EXTRA rights than its constituent parts (citizens) do. So morally, I can't steal from PJB to buy him an insurance policy, or steal from DawnPatrolSUP to "protect" him from the next Vietcong ...but Uncle Sam can. I can't (and wouldn't want to!) kill or euthanize or sterilize someone bc they are retarded or are "having too many babies" but the government can, did, and will do again. So no Utopian visions here...just a want to be Free from the voodoo that "they" do. It really is voodoo.
