Anybody out there wear a Quiksilver suit and have anything good or bad to say about them? I'm just looking for a \"cheaper\" 3/2 to get me through the warmer winter months.
I went from ripcurl and oneal back in the early 2000s and switch to Quiksilver in or around 2002 and used only Quik for the past decade. I think they are by FAR the best suits on the market. I had issues with a couple of the old CELL models. the 5 and 6 back panelling, but they replaced all my suits with brand new ones every time anything has every gone wrong. They are super comfortable, super warm...

I have a $500 Oneal Physco Freak 3.5 mil, which is their new 4mil. That suit is pretty damn awesome, so I rotate between that one and a basic model Quiksilver 4 mil in the winter. I have had both of them for 2 years now and they are both in perfeect condition. And before I moved to Hilton Head, I was using them every day. I would just go back and forth every other day with them. So they have been used heavily and they are in great conditions.

Anyway, long story short is that I have always thought Quiksilver was on the forefront of wetsuit technology.

Wetsuits are like boards though, once guys find a brand that works for them, they are pretty loyal to them and will argue that point all day. For me, Quiksilver was the brand that beat out the others a long time ago and I have never really looked back....

When quicksilver came out with the Cell model, they pretty much changed the whole market. Other companies caught up, but that super stretchy, slick material on the inside changed the whole game.

    How'd those wrists get frayed?
From pulling the sleeves back over my gloves 4 seasons in a row. You want your cockmeat sandwich now?

Ended up returning it because of the uncomfortable materials. If you believe you found the gem, go with it.

Just got my R2 Chest Zip in today. I won't be sending this one back
My old 54 is a cell (yellow inside w/tape inside). I forgot the hood is dry rotted too. It's still warm and doesn't leak except the hood. 4 hard years on it fo sho. I was impressed and that's why I asked for the quik 543 when I sent the new ripcurl back (with zipper issue).

Foolish question regarding the sammich. We both know you'd never share your preferred snakpak with anyone, not even Miles Davis.

On a serious (as I can be) note, you ever tried rolling the sleeves back then rolling them forward over the gloves? Less pulling and gnashing on the cuffs, just an easy roll. A local vet showed me that trickery last spring.
