Not for me One big swell a month doesn't do it for me. I need to get out at least once or twice a week in good conditions to really be happy. Preferably with some time in between swells. Back to back days are a no go for me. Blow my body out on first day especially since totally out of paddling/kicking condition so I need second day for recovery.

I do believe the word your looking for is "scapegoat"
A skategoat sounds like some sort of JS Industries groveler, maybe similar to the likes of the pier pony

Best fall ever, not by a long shot but no way is it worst fall ever. That was when you're a little grommet and you don't know what surfing fall swells is yet. By my count Monday might have been the best day this fall, but not the only day. We also just got 2 good days on the first weekend in November. Plenty of good days in September and October as well. The lack of hurricanes and days of swell has been disappointing, but I'll take a biweekly day of chest high clean peelers over the flatness that is summer.

This fall has been garbage. 2 fun days and nothing big.

No twice weekly chest high swells here. That would be awesome.

Not here. Have a wave journal. More days in summer(waist to chest) this year then during the fall period. I think there were 2 days the entire month of september that were chest high and 1 more day that was waist. That's pathetic.

worst fall in 15 years as I can recall.
The summer was pretty bad also. I know it's not when we get good waves, but you usually get a few fun chest high windswells. It's been bad since mid July really.

Why doesn't swell info track the historical conditions and rate the seasonal performance so that we have some true data behind these claims????

I do believe you are deficient in the means to dissect my previous statement. Stay out of Malibu Macgregor

    Man so confusing.......

Yes, this fall in New Jersey(I shall not speak for other states) sucks. Since 1986, it might be cracking the top 3 of bad falls.

Now we have people who said this summer was flat claiming somewhat consistent waist to chest conditions.

You dudes must do more drugs than I used to.

This past summer was completely average. It didn't suck. It wasn't great. It was completely friggin average. Actually June was above average. Hurricanes do not define a summer season. Shoots, canes are a fall thing anyways.......You guys base everything on hurricanes because the media has brainwashed yas.

This fall blows. It sucks. It's horrible. As someone said above, going two weeks between a decent day is not acceptable.

"Surfrr, come on partner, one chest high day every two weeks is abysmal. I don't know aboot you other Jersey dogs, but I did much better than that the whole summer. Yeah, for real. Yeah, I'm lying and making stories about waist + summer swells. Makes me feel cool..........And I have low expectations and a small imagination. Someday, I'll lie aboot head high summer swells.........Someday........

Something needs to be done aboot this. Something just isn't right.
