When I pull up Surfside, TX on swellinfo.com it pulls the the readings from the buoy 42035. This buoy is position for Galveston and North of Surfside. How can we get the folks at Swellinfo.com to change to the buoy 42019 for Surfside, TX. This buoy is a more accurate and positioned better to give us the results that are on point for our coast. I tried to click on the buoy, but it just takes me to NOAA page.

Change the Buoy for Surfside, TX
Second that motion...
I think 42019 is down. They've had problems with that buoy for years.
You can get the surfside report from the Matagorda page even though it still shows the Galveston buoy there too.
Surfside and Galveston has to share the buoy until 42019 is fixed, but sharing the same buoy for the whole upper gulf coast is messed up. It breaks different do to the coastal bend.

42019 is up and transmitting data right now.
I can easily change Surfside to show 42019 as the default buoy, but 42019 is really far away from the coast. 42035 is much closer. Take a look at the Station Data map, and you will see where these buoys are.
I'm going to change Matagorda to 42019, but it really doesn't make sense for Surfside.
19 is deceptive man, it'll have some ftage on it and surfside will be flat. While sometimes 35 will show nothing and surfside will have a consistent wave workin, so there's no sense in usin 35 as an indicator. 60 nm is just to far to judge. Surfside seriously needs it's own buoy. That's something to take up with noaa I suppose.
