Thread: Cabo Wabo

  1. #11
I was going to start a new thread but figure it's worth keeping all the Cabo stuff in one spot. My predicament is a touch different.. I'm going for a bachelor party march 20-23rd. I'd like to get on something while I'm there.

Is there anyway to access to pacific breaks without a rental car - bus or public transport? Also, are there any decent boards to rent down there or is it bring or bust (f'n united charges 200 each way for international boards still)?

Any other suggestions are definitely welcome.

Thats what i'm afraid of MIS!

I wont do booties tho. Even when i lived in Northern California, never wore them. Cant feel the board thru em. But i am thinkin 4/3, just cause being cold is the worst thing in the world. Honestly i've been trying to see if i packed any of my old 5/4's or my 6/5/4 at my pop's place in cali. No luck on that one. I guess 4 years is too long to assume i left one in a box somewhere.

there is zero way of getting to the pacific on Mexican public transportation. You'll either need a rental car, or a ride from a trusting Gringo.

Also, you can rent boards from the Costa Azul Surf Shop, in San Jose Del Cabo (closer to the airport). Usually at least one cute Mexican girl in the shop.

I don't think you'll need rubber that far south in March. Usually around late April to early June, that area gets some weird currents that will necessitate a 3/2 (a 4/3 is probably too much, unless you're heading north of Guerrero Negro)

3/2 max... Short sleeve full if it's warm out.. Definitely not a 4/3. The water is 66 now.

I was planning on bringing a 3/2. Has anyone surfed Migrino or is it a must to go to cerritos?
