It seems that in an attempt to survive a periodic flat spell, we resort to posting photos from winter swells, other people's photos, and lots of artsy fartsy images like sunsets, travel photos, et al. How about still more fun, I'd like to propose a ''How low can you go?'' photo contest that would seem like an appropriate challenge for the photogs amongst us. It's been mighty glassy of late so let's see some of that micro perfection that's out there. At least it beats whining about our current sad state of affairs. If you can get a shot of somebody actually riding (not just being pushed by the wavelet) you might score bonus points.

Maybe something like this will help us appreciate our next swell all the more.

Oh, and one thing more, let's not shoot the horse we rode in on. Micah doesn't make the waves, he just tracks them for us. Thanks for all you do Micah!

Does everyone on here wipe for Chucky Blanco and Micah when they're done on the pot? They're big boys, no need to come running to their rescue.

And for all you getting all up in arms about people *****ing about Micah and his forecasting tools, I'm sure he's laughing all the way to the bank, or soon will be. Even negative posts in these forums create page views, and then the follow ups to them are even more page views, which then in turn creates more lucrative ad space on his site. The more he shows an increase in page views (be it from people *****ing about him, people talking about dope, or even some kid claiming to have ridden the Humonga Cowabunga from Deep Down Unda), but especially UNIQUE page views, from month to month, the richer he's gonna get. And then once he makes the site lucrative, he'll sell out, we'll have pop-ups galore for beach umbrellas for sale or BJ's happy hour prices, make the site a pain in the @$$ to get around, and we'll be done with it and you won't have to deal with the complaints anymore.

But Micah, great job on the site, people should really stop *****ing you out...(I'll wait for my "hypocrite" responses like a kid waiting for Santa...)
