    Go-To Board

I am currently in the process of getting a hybrid shortboard designed locally for the spring / summer / fall months for here in NJ, the typical knee-head high range. Probably going 5'7" x 19 1/2" x 2 5/16" (I am 5'7", 164 lbs). So what's everyone's GO-TO board during these times / waves? Interested to see what everyone is using and what people may want to be using looking ahead.

    Red face go-to board

a go-to board used to mean the stick one depended on to best accommodate most conditions.
    mine is a 6/8 firewire dominator (6ft210lbsme). i also use a 6/4 potato-nator but it gathers
    dust compared to the former.

i also like softboards/longboards/sups but when the surf is for real i get a gleam in my eye
    and out comes the 6/8.

6'8" performance egg (flat bottom front) or a nice 9' noserider. I sold my 7'4" funshape. It just was too middle of the road. You can't walk it easily, and it doesn't turn like a shorter board.
