    Thumbs up whale bay rox

    surfed there 1979. same guy was there with same board. that aside, you really do
    want to experience this wave - its 3 left points; indicators, manu, and whale bay.
    all three points work quite well.

    That looks like a fun wave even at high tide...forgot about your side ways stance until I saw it...looks like it was a good time. Have any vids of that thing breaking all the way through?

    Red face whale bay is in new zealand

    if memory serves raglan (which is the three separate but together left points) is on the
    north island, just west of hamilton north. the town is also named raglan. quite scenic;
    especially for someone from new jersey….

    That's right.

    Whale Bay is a mid to low tide break, but the little section on the inside works at high tide. There was a competition on at Manu Bay so we had to find an alternative. I lived on Whale Bay for a few years in the 80's but hadn't surfed it since 2001. I'll get some video of it working properly one of these days soon.

    Red face raglan - quite the beautiful corner of our planet

    raglan rox. indicators goes so fast and gets round and power AND SO MUCH MORE.
    genuinely miss the place; stayed at a 'hippie house' where all i had to do was wash
    the dishes for a roof w/meals and friends. everywhere it should be so good.

    Noticed there was an Eskimo in the line up. Is that a plug on the deck? I'd hate to be out and see you paddle out, Mr. OneManCrowd on your Catchall.
