Thread: surf rage

While a guest at a particular NJ State Correctional institution, I realized there are 5 types of people in prison and therefore in society (since prison is a mini-diaspora of society).
    1. Criminals - those whose profession in life is to break the law. Example: Drug Dealers
    2. Outlaws - those that try to live outside of society's norms and get punished for it. Example: 1% bikers. In society, we as surfers sorta fall into this category as surfing is in reality not really a 'productive' activity to the majority.
    3. Idiots
    4. Addicts
    5. Sheep
There is another group that thinks they are in one of the 5 above but they are not. They are people who are unhinged. Psychopaths if you will. The guy who shot his board into someone's face is a straight up unhinged maniac.

Thank God there's some outlaws left. I sleep better at night knowing that. Principle > Profit.

That's unfortunate Chavez, and it really does seem like people are so easily swayed into the herd...it's like they wanna be sheep. "Oh who cares about______, check out this new iPhonecase/stupid shoes/fill in the blank"...

As Bruce Brown once said, "I never understood why surfing was considered rebellious and unproductive while playing on the school football team made you a model citizen."

You should do one of those guilt trip commercials.
"50 cents a day is all you need to help these sick children"

Guys! If someone pisses you off that bad, don't be a little b*tch ass and sneak attack someone 5 months after an incident, call em out of the water and fight them with your fists right then and there! This guy wouldn't have the balls to start a fair fight where his opponent gets the first swing or at minimum let's them know beforehand that they're about to get hit. Of course he wanted to fight him while his eye ball was hanging out of his dome, he gets to look real tough yelling at some guy in agony. Jokes were funny though, sorry.

+2. There's no justification for extreme actions like that in surfing.
