Does anyone know the answer on whether I can bring down longboards on Jet Blue. I have a 9'6" coffin I normally take down with two boards on United and I never have a problem. Booked Jet Blue this year, and there website seems to say you can't go over like 80" which isn't that big. I swear I have seen longboards come in on Jet Blue when I am in the airport in Aguadilla. Anyone have any experience?
$50 for oversized bag under 50lbs and it goes up from there based on weight. I dont know if that includes longboards but it should in the "oversized bag" genre. I would call if you cant find any info on their website.
Specifications: If you bring as one of your two checked bags, it’s $55. If you already have two checked bags, it’ll cost you $110. Must be 70lbs and/or 109 total linear inches (L+W+H), which would be about a 7’2″.

We just flew into Aguadilla with a 10 ft coffin from Orlando. I think they charged him $80 because he did have one checked in bag. They did ding the rail, even in that coffin but he didnt pack it to well. When we got to Aguadilla they were throwing boards, literally like 10 feet. The other surfers werent there yet but I sat there and made sure he handed me my board bag, jackholes. Mine sustaind no damage in a 7 ft double bag fully protected but pack em good.
Yes you can bring a LB, like others have said it's normally $50 for the extra bag but probably more for the LB, no more than $100 i'm sure. I brought my 6'4" Coil in a 7ft FCS travel bag, used pipe insulation to wrap around the rails and down the center of the top / bottom of the board, then wrapped it in a blanket and taped it up nice and tight so the foam insulation pieces were in tact, it all fit in the bag no problem and Jet Blue didn't put a ding or scratch on it. I didn't see anybody throwing bags, but i'm sure there are some that will just to be a d*ck like StuckontheGulf saw happen, which i'd lose my sh*t if I ever saw that.
the pilot can also be the board ruiner besides the drones…works like dis..plane landing bounce bounce…
did all the cargo rise and fall w/that bounce? if it did GUARANTEED all that weight landed on your bag.
cause they don't top load board bags…..
