Alright, we'll see how much it resembles the on in the city..
Probably identical. Not sure where they will find all the smoking hot college girls to pack in the coastal location though. So I am sure it will be a different vibe. But same idea. Same food. Same booze. Same soccer roots too. You may not have to stand shoulder to shoulder behind 10 other dudes to get a beer, so that might be good.
Keep Baltimore out of Delaware. Not going to be a "locals spot" by any means. Just like the Oyster house down the street. We will keep our money in the pockets of local Delaware based businesses. Not in the wallets of those already overstuffed...
You're welcome? Really? Thanks, but no thanks. If anything thanks for making another sponge to soak up the tourists.
You know what is really appreciated on the eastern shore? A genuinely good, genuinely local place to go. 9 times out of ten everyone I know will check it out once and return to their original regular spots.
Just check them out for heaven's sake. Their family has had deep roots in DE and OC for decades. They just happen to have one of the coolest bars in the whole state, so I think its a good thing to put another one out there. You know why? Jobs. You know how many people that live in your area, looking for work will get employment? There are two sides to every story. I understand that you want your local spots that are already there to make the tourist money. But if there are quality places, they have nothing to worry about. If they serve sh* food and have overpriced drinks, they may have a problem. Welcome to America.
Give the place a try before your judge. Their food has always been scratch made BTW. And I challenge you to go to one of your "local" spots and not find a box of napkins or a can of beans that says Sysco on it. Come on man. Unless there is some top secret restaurant industrial warehouse that sells only Napkins and Straws Made in Delaware.
Just don't knock it before you try it. The wings are amazing. Good people. And I would assume they will go all out with the amenities in the place. I would suggest going there during the world cup. They have numerous family members in the US Soccer Hall Of Fame and have represented the US National team for generations.
Oh and PS, Sysco bought US Foods for 8 Billion dollars about 5 months ago.
The locals only crap is such a bull**** argument. The restaurant will be supporting the local economy. Food distribution, servers, cooks, reality company, sanitation, taxes just to name a few of the benefits.
