Are you one of these guys?

Everyone sitting in the lineup spread out along the sandbars with enough space to let everyone pretty much sit and wait for the peaks to come to you. Everyone is getting waves.....
and they usually come 2 or 3 waves to a set in multiple locations, so no real issues at all... just a nice day at the beach. One of the advantages surfing beach wide sandbars.....

But ofcourse... there's that one duschbag that thinks this is pipeline and is aggressively paddling all over the beach trying to chase down waves causing paddle battles to break out wherever he is...
Then goes in and rests for 10 or 15 minutes, paddles back out and starts all over again.... lol.
Oh yeah... Rolls up to the beach with his buddies as the film crew.
So tell us.... are you one of these guys????

Those dudes are a trip. I make it a point to sit right on top of them and follow them around.

Sounds like a time for the Fitzpedo!

Lol... fitzpedo actually almost happened... Ofcourse he eventually winds up within 10 yards of me... wave comes in... Im on the inside and he comes charging over paddling like I'm not there.... so I angle my board at him and just keep paddling... dbag only backs off at the last possible second with like barely a foot between us... I mean like who wants to surf with this crap!!! But that was the last encounter with him....

Man, those guys would've been preferable today over the 3 to 4 Bic-wielding superkooks that pervaded the lineup of 12 to 16 today. Pure hazards. Ahh, the sun and 60s bring out the best in surfing.

I don't always and it's not everyday it's like that and never VB-esque. This swell was very finicky and not hitting at many spots, so word was traveling fast on a Saturday plus people had time to make the rounds to check. Still, it will likely only be this way more days as it gets nicer. Long live the Fitzpedo.

Brah sound like the SUMMER PROS are starting to paddle out.

Happened to me today for a short time. They got thier photog on the beach hoping to score a barrel... super serious faces lol like its pipeline

I'm just out there laughing and having a fun time- rooting on other guys to take the drop... Then the summer pro shows up- paddles right next to you and goes for every wave you to for... And pulls back at the last minute.. I usually pretend to go for a wave so they end up going and then I get the second, better wave!

On man.. I really missed those ol summer pros during the long winter

definitely. guys were all over the place today, all aggro b/c they haven't surfed in 6mos. or longer...watched one guy blow like 6 waves in a row, so i finally just started dropping in on him.

i'm usually the guy paddling away from the crowds trying to find a quieter peak. guess it's time to start searching out the greener pastures.
