Yesterday had some fun waves in New jersey, put in a good amount of hours. After a couple of hours being on the mainland my chest started to hurt. Now every time I lean on my chest or put pressure on it, it hurts. This happens most times I surf for over 3 hours. It feels like a bruise however I have no idea. Just wondering if this happens to others and these others know anything about it.
There was a thread about this a while back give it a search if you'd like. Basically the jist of the thread was that the pain is bruising from pushing your chest on your board, usually on people with out allot of muscle on there chest. I don't know though I never had this pain. My chest will crack after a session sometimes but I enjoy that.
Long ago when I went to a longboard for a few years I noticed the same thing. Now that I ride mostly small to really small boards that sink under my weight I'd doesn't happen anymore. I never figured out how to stop it.
