I mean, you think that the nation as a whole doesn't do a pretty good job going after violent criminals and drugs? Our prisons are full of drug offenders and people who have committed gun crimes. I mean, the war on Pot even in the country is insane. throwing 18 years old in jail for possession. Giving kids 5 years for distro.

I mean, are there really any "drug cartels" left in this country? Not to my knowledge. Yeah, there are dealers in every city to provide for the fiends. But there is really no one in the US that runs the drug game. Mexico runs it up to Chicago and its widely distributed and the Feds run all over the place trying to stop it.

If there is one thing I will say out government puts a lot of effort into, its fighting the ridiculous drug war and throwing people win guns in jail for a long time...

I mean, you couldn't pay me enough to put on armor and run into the slums of west baltimore and crack heads with a drug gang. But I'll be damned if those boys in blue don't suit up everytime they get a lead and enter a modern day war zone and take those fu**ers out. Then 5 minutes later the next crew is inline, but they fight the good fight man... Like I said, you couldn't pay me to do it and I commend the police in places like Detroit and Baltimore for even finding people brave enough to fight a never ending battle like that. To potentially get shot at every traffic stop you make. I am no police advocate, but I think they do a pretty good job and there are very few places in this country that I would consider ANYTHING remotely like Rio.

my point is the gvt turns a blind eye when they want to, the war on drugs is really a war on poor and a war on civil rights, a complete farce and sham. Your hero worship of cops as they 'fight the good fight' also speaks volumes about the amount of kool aid you drank. its all good, keep on believing....

I mean I guess the police do a good job of putting violent people behind bars? unless those violent people are wearing badges. good cops who dont stop bad cops are just as guilty as the ones who violate civil rights

the reason rio is so violent is economic inequality and lack of options to earn food, not that the police are weak. if everyone could earn a living, its likely crime would go down. there would still be some violence, but lower rates, for sure

Any other earth first/abbey heads on here seldom? If so, I know of a location we could all meet in Rhode Island that makes a wilderness of the ocean and plan revenge for our mother.

Well, there was another member from our neck of the woods that seems to be on hiatus(not sure if you know who I mean but I think you might), he was definitely a fan of old Ed...then another dude who said he was reading MWG(I'd have to do a quick search to find out the name)...but if things stay as is I'll be on it early Saturday, definitely down to meet at said location and shoot the shyte...I have a couple new ideas.

If you look back at every post I have ever made, this HAS to be the only one where I am shouting praises about the american police forces. I am not anarchist or cop hater, but when I am presented with this particular topic, I have to side with the cops in a general sense. I mean, saying that cops are all crooked and bad because they aren't going after "bad cops" is a pretty broad statement and I can't agree with it. That would be like me saying all cops are good, which they aren't.

But any job force is a direct reflection of our society. If all people were good, all cops would be good. There is an equal percentage of crooked cops as there are crooked people. But trust me brother, I am not drinking any ones Koolaide. For the most part, if I see a cop on the sidewalk, I walk to the other side of the street. I am aware of what all of their headlights look like. I avoid them at ALL costs, because at the end of the day, I truly don't trust them. It's just something from childhood. Maybe my friends were crooked. Maybe I ran with the wrong crowd in high school, but still to this day, I proceed with absolute caution and anything short of me witnessing a murder, I am out. I mean, if someone is bleeding in the street I will call the cops, but I am never going to be the one standing around having a conversation with them for any reason.

But with that being said, about "if people had jobs and money they wouldn't sell drugs and kill each other". Bingo. I agree with you there. However, that doesn't matter. A large portion of the entire world all has the same problem. No education. No money. No jobs. Not everyone turns into a drug dealing tyrant because of it. That is a cop out. There are dirt poor people all over the world. There are people in Alabama, living in Squalor that are not cooking Meth for money just cause they are poor. Its a choice everyone makes. Regardless of where you live or what country you are from. If you are willing to take someones life for food, for money or for drugs, you are the scum of the earth and should be executed before you hurt innocent people.

I don't give the people in "the hood" in Baltimore any excuses. I don't say, ohh, those drug dealing 14 year olds standing on the corner with burners on their hip aren't bad people. They are just poor. Ohh, that 13 year old just did a drive by shooting on his 10 speed... Ohh, he is just another poor kid. If he had an edu-mic-ation, he would be working as a banker right now. Bull ****.

Poor people are NOT killers. Killers are killers. Guns don't kill people. People kill people.

I know so many guys from the SLUMS of Tijuana. That break their backs every single day. That work 80 hours a week for peanuts, just to provide for their family and 8 kids back in Mexico. These exact people are poor. Uneducated. They are from the biggest drug trafficing region in the WORLD and they didn't become murderers. Their kids aren't killers. They don't smuggle drugs and decapitate people because they don't have an education. NO ONE has to live that way. If you are into that kind of thing, your moral compass is broken. And it aint cause you are poor. Its cause you are a bastard.

Rio is the same as any other city in the world. They just turn a blind eye to it. When TJ started doing that 7 years ago, their city collapsed. Their economy is ruined because the american tourists decided to stop spending their money there. Its a shame, but thats the same treatment we need to give Brasil. If you can't regulate your own people and if your entire city is consumed by murder and mayhem, we will not go there, we will not spend out money there, we will not feed the beast until you clean up your act and start using all your authority for good. Tijuana just saying, ohh the cartels are stronger than us. BS. You just have too many crooked politicians running the show and they have their hand in the cookie jar, EXACTLY the way RIO is. They can stop it, but they make a profit off it all for turning a blind eye.

Enough is enough. Poor doesn't mean killer, ever.

yes, there are caahunts everywhere, regardless of opportunity, the biggest criminals work in manhattan and wear 5 thousand dollar suits

and I didnt say all cops are bad....but if you have ever seen the Stanford prison experiment results you would see that being in a position of authority generally warps a human due to the power they have

so a cop starts out good, power goes to his head, presto chango!
also, the good ones who do nothing about the bad ones are just as culpable and should be held accountable

and my god you are verbose!

its all good you are loved anyway

Haha, I type fast, what can I say. That long bag of wind I let out probably took all of a minute and a half.

On CNN like two months ago, I saw an article about how the Feds busted like 60 people working at the Baltimore City Prison. Cops, COs, Top to bottom they busted the whole place. They had cops bringing drugs in. The females COs were banging all the gang members on the inside for money. I mean, it was insane. The thugs inside were literally running the show and anyone who opposed them on the inside were get dealt with on the outside. Family members getting killed. Crazy stuff... I mean, these gang members were living the real life WIRE treatment in prison. Playstations on the inside. KFC being delivered. They were banging chicks every day. Getting coke delivered by the pound. Weed. I mean, these guys were having a better life on the inside.

So I agree with you on certain points for sure. When money and power are involved, corruption goes to new heights.
