    Yeah it's usually like that in LBI, especially at low tide when a clean up set comes through. It gets annoying cus if you miss a wave in that set and your still sitting at the peak, you just start drifting from the spot you were sitting at for the last 10 minutes where it was super still. Once you get a read on those rips and the timing, it's makes the paddle out so much faster and easier. Watched two guys start paddling out last weekend and I waited 5 mins before I jumped in and made it out to the lineup at the same exact time lol. Could chalk it up as paddling power, but I'd like to think it was the currents haha
