You gotta reach out. Some people are agro-leave me alone. Some will wave. Some will chat and go have a burger afterwards. I agree with everyone else that you probably need to hit up somebody close to your skill level.
or teach one of your non-surfing friends how.
The reach out is the reach around's lesser known cousin.
Part of me wants to just answer this, but my spidey sense makes me think something's fishy...
Will just ignore that suspicion for now.
From personal experience, I have very poor distance vision. Can't see well out in the water. That can have a big impact on meeting others. I usually don't interact with anyone while I'm out in the water, unless they're close up. I just can't see em well. I try and make up for it on the beach though. May get surfing glasses one day. You didn't mention whether you wear glasses or not.
I've been trained and conditioned here to be skeptical of this whole thread. I mean, we had Woody from Toy Story raping everyone a few days ago. Someone asking for MORE surfers at their break seems kinda odd.
Good advice, thanks. I rarely venture outside of Margate but I'll have to see what's happening in Ventnor, AC, and OC. If you see me out there on a big yellow longboard, be sure to say hello. I'll do the same.
Thanks again. yellowboard.jpg
