I remember tropical storm fay went right by us and the wind was crazy as well as the waves. I remember it as huge victory at sea conditions but I was a little kid on a longboard and almost got myself speared by it and I was terrified.

2002 Kyle!!! Someone on here must remember that one. that storm produced ridable surf (on and off) for two weeks straight as it just sat out there east of Bermuda, SW of Bermuda, near the Bahamas, then finally up the coast!

This is the track it took between September 20 and October 12! 22 days!

Hilton Head Island, Bel Mar's sister city in dixieland.
Then you'll have your very own surf gang.

Can't believe you guys are hyping a storm that's not even a TD yet...
Bro you must live a sad, hopeless, rational existence. At least you spelled wind shear correctly. I was about to clarify to the 10+ other posters that sheer is a category of women's stockings.

Did you miss the other tread where we decided unanimously that all future TS occurrences will be named here appropriately on SI?

That's sick, mitch. Basically, a best-case scenario for a TS?
