Thread: Feet burn

  1. #51
If hot hard pack, sit on your a$$ for a sec. Looks even less cool then the twisting, but your boardies should provide a bit of a buffer to cool your feet, especially if you're wet. If you have a rashguard on, take it off and throw it down to stand on every 15 yards or so.

I usually surf early, and I learn from my mistakes slowly. I've employed all of these techniques with varying degrees of success.

But from the walk up the trail to the water just burnt the **** out of both of my feet. I could feel it blazing the whole time I was walking. I eventually broke into a skip =) but at any rate. After a few waves, I hopped off one and I could feel some loose skin on my left foot. When i paddled back out I inspected and both of my feet had some little boils on them and I could see that the top layer of skin had detached in a few places.

Didn't really hurt that bad while I was surfing. but I can barely walk right now. I just did a bow legged walk of shame back into the office. It's about 90 degrees out today, and while I usually surf in the mornings, I still have gone out a ton of times here mid day.

My feet are jacked now. I guess I am going to have to peel the skin off and let it start healing, unless you fine gentlemen (and Betty) have any advice for this particular ailment.

I have had a lot of random little bumps and bruises over the years from surfing, but I have never injured myself walking from the truck to the water....

Pretty silly injury, but a painful, very annoying one. And yes, from now on, flip flops will be stashed on a dune.... But dang... I have NEVER had this happen before. There was no shade to walk on, nothing. Just straight john blaze sand.

Had the exact same thing happen to me from walking on pavement to the beach about a year or two ago.
It sucks! That is a strange feeling when your out in the water and start realizing something's not feeling right with the bottoms of your feet...

It'll take about two weeks to heal....but like everyone else has said....lather them puppies up.

Yeah man, exactly. Feels much better today. Haven't touched it. Still got all that goo inside.

Been doing the aloe thing like Gaff and everyone else said. So far so good.

Why even make a comment in a thread you don't like. Why even read a thread you don't like? Yankee's comments are the type that only spread negativity. Which is the main reason I hardly ever come back to the forum. Yankee just seems like a old grumpy guy who doesn't 'get' the 'younger' Facebook generation. Which is fine. Until you see the irony of Yankee making fun of the Facebook generation when he, himself, has over 3000(!) posts in this forum.

Also, by complaining about a seemingly innocuous post by zach, Yankee is making a statement about how HE feels about Zach - which, ironicly, has the same effect of what Yankee is complaining about. Yankee is making statements about how HE feels about Zach's thread.

Yankee, why don't you just keep your negativity to yourself. Not everyone thinks like you or cares about the same BS you do. I just wanted to read a thread about hot feet. I personally have never burned my feet to the point of blisters, I didn't even know it was possible. So I found this thread interesting. Until you pretty much ruined it.

They say the qualities we hate about other people are usually the same traits we have ourselves. Think about that for a while Yankee.
What's that...? I hear the sound of a running toilet. gurgle gurgle goes my newest troll...

The beautiful thing about trolls is that they further my case for HOTY14-15. You're way out of your element, swamprat.

your ass-ignment, turdrow, is to actually read the history of frandrescher & moi. After that, read every one of my posts. That should keep you off the streets for a few weeks.

Are yee dense? Yep. You're a friggin wood post. News flash: walking in hot sand will burn your feet. You may find that out on that rare day when they permit you out of the psycho ward.

On your way over to give frandrescher your skinny lil shoulder to cry on, stop along the way & pick up the dummies as the NJ Glide has instructed you. If chucka-boo-boo demands one of those dummies for assault purposes....just give him fran instead.

There, I just saved you. However, unlike waynetheinsaaaane's claimed saves there will be no requirement for you to enter the white van of duct tape & doom. But you'll probably jump in his rolling freak show anyways.
