So you mean you tried one out, you didn't "demo" one, because if you actually KNEW how to surf well enought to get paid to demo product you'd know a rounded pin will perform nothing like a swallow tail.

In all fairness he only said it was similar "width, concave and thickness wise", he didn't say anything about the tail.

What about "Demo Days" that lots of board brands have when they are new(ish) (FireWire, Aviso) or a brand doing new shapes? I don't think you have to be a pro to do that. I was in San Diego this spring in a shop getting a wetsuit, the owner and I were talking about FireWire and he told me he a bunch of boards I could "demo". Now I am far from a pro, more like advancing beginner so I guess more than one person calls test driving a board doing a demo.

I am a pretty big soccer guy and Nike and Adidas also have demo tents at major events around the country with all amateur players. It is set up much like the above mentioned "Demo Days" where every new product is there in every size and you and test run it in a game to see if you like it. They take feed back and also hope to gain a customer, much like surf reps that give a demo board to a shop so they can let people try it out. I

For whatever reason you feel the need to talk junk to people online and e-thug it. That is another form of being a kook, you are just using a different venue than the beach to do it.

Right on, he actually mentioned that because they were different he would see how it goes, this leads me to believe he would feel a different tail on an otherwise similar shape would lead to different performance.

So, are all you kooks dating one another and "demo-ing" each other or what?
