    bodyboarding trip in march - where to?

    Hi everybody!

    I have a couple of days off in March and would like to go bodyboarding?

    I was thinking west coast(San Diego)? Any beaches that you recommend?

    Is East Coast warmer? I'll be going with my wife and would like it to be a nice beach too.

    there are plenty of beaches to bodyboard in san diego, but you are not going to be wearing trunks as the water is generally in the upper 50s there during the winter months.

    if your going to spend money on a cross country trip, you are better off going somewhere tropical in central america or the caribbean. You'll spend less money, and have warm water, with better waves (most likely).

    Take a look at Puerto Rico and Costa Rica - both easy trips.

    Thanks for the suggestion.

    The only caveat is that I have a coupon from Us Airways that I will be using and it limits me to travel within the US.

    Any cool spots in Florida?

    I was in the same boat with 2 free trips in lower 48 from US-AIR. See about flying to a border city then paying for a flight from there. It is not really that much. I decided to pay for my flight all the way since it was only $400 from PHL to MX, heading to Puerto in March for 2 weeks.

    Yeah, it was as a matter a fact w/ USAIR.

    Thanks for the tip. Will keep MX in mind. For now to cut costs decided in Florida where I have family. Hope a swell comes in at the same time.

    sorry, I don't and also this ticket has several restrictions. But check online there are some cheap deal to Florida from now to May.

    Continental from Cleveland has a seasonal direct flight to FLL that runs over the thursday - mon or tues(not 100% sure). AirTran is pretty cheap too.

    We'll keep the forum posted of how the trip went.

    Until then, will "practice" in www.youriding.com.
