Just a thought and I am sure someone will call me a kook, but you should build one yourself out of wood. You can make it the dimensions you want and the materials to make it will cost you about what a good used board would cost. It takes a while, but the feeling of building your own board and joy you will get out of riding it will be worth it.

    KOOK

No, but really, that's not too bad an idea if you have enough time, are decent at crafting things and don't mind waiting a while for a board.

Not a bad idea at all. I know of two websites that sell the kits to make your own. Check them out. www.grainsurfboards.com and www.greenlightsurfsupply.com . I think Grain Surfboard kits are a bit pricey, maybe because of the wood used. The kits from Greenlight surf supply are the standard EPS constuction.
