I been a plane, train, automobile/truck mechanic, HVAC mechanic, and now I'm in Health Care. Husband, father of four children, Pop Pop to two others. Theres just always been time for surf ! May not make every session now, (those were the days) but get it when I can !!! Seems like the older you get, the less time there is for the really really good stuff. Therefore I'm in the water on........(fill in my user ID here).

HAHa... yeah, once you get those things called kids... it's over. (from what I hear).

And if you were talking to me about the pics, thanks! and I'll most definitely be out in AC all winter long.

work in the Security Operations Center for the UMD police department. i'm only part time for now, scheduled for 20 hours a week, and pick up extra hours around my surfing agenda . amazing flexibility. i'm about to be a full-time supervisor tho, so we'll see how long that lasts. however, i can pick up all the midnight shifts (we run a 24/7/365 operation) and have all days and weekends off for surfing whenever.

full time student studing for a bs in computer aided product design. only time i get to surf is on the weekends. i wont be able to get down because of my father having to have hip surgery. so ill be back in oc in october till my wet suit isnt cutting the cold like it should. enjoy this weekend boys

Looking now to apply to colleges. i am looking to go in as a declared atmospheric science major, but i'm having a difficult time finding a decent school outside of Vermont that offers that major. I have also apllied to Hawaii Pacific univesity as an oceanography major. If anyone can help me out with any good schools for atmospheric science that would be great.

Although it gets old after a while, working nights is great for the surf schedule. And 20hrs we week! ...so jealous. Well done sir. Of course you must not have kids to support that lifestyle...

haha yes sir it is pretty convenient for surfing. right now im at 20 hrs, but i'll be at 40 when i go full-time. but again, the hours would be overnight so there's no interference.

and correct, there are no children in my life lol. not for a long time

Product Marketing Manager for a communications company…while a corporate gig, complete with my own cubicle, job allows me to ‘telecommute’ from my home office a couple of days each week...needless to say I plan those days with an eye on the forecast. Ever been out after a fall/winter nor’easter, mid day, mid week? Don’t see too many of you!

I am an environmental specialist with a civil engineering company 2 blocks off the beach in Rehoboth. My bosses are boaters and fishing folk so they understand the conditions and water call. They are flexable. We have a shower at work so I can get wet in the morning, afterwork, 1/2 day Fridays and can get out if it is really good. I try and hold that some thought.

I'm a Spanish teacher and swim coach outside of greater Philly, beach patrol in the summer, travel during winter break. The Spanish comes in handy during those trips to Spain, Costa and Puerto. Teaching allows me long breaks, but they are fixed around holidays, when travel is expensive... I am a fan of Assateague and mostly surf Delmarva and occasionally Jersey shore.

By the way, good idea posting something positive.
