    one more thing... this is the surf height definition listed below every forecast.

    Forecasted surf heights represent a potential wave face height for the average to better breaks in a region during optimal conditions (tides,wind,swell).

    yah basically forecasting (mainly metorology) is the ONLY job where you can F-up and not get fired!!!
