not sure what you are talking about. did we not have a large swell this past weekend? It sure was large where I surfed.

Swellinfo forecasts are based on the forecast models - which is how every other surf forecast is based. There is not exclamation points, or stressed significance of swells, it is data is coming straight from the swellinfo models.

Dude!!! if you can't accept the information Micah provides here then you have a problem. If you don't think it's good enough, try doing it yourself.

I find this site to be the most accurate and user friendly.

clean DOH swell in the mid atlantic is pretty much a no go. so few spots can hold it that head high to a little overhead is actually an improvement in my book.

Yeah I'm with the whiny little bitc*. If the ankle high forecast for Sunday turns out to be only toe-high I'm gonna start crying, throw a tantrum and then piss and moan on this forum. "Your models are depressing me." You can't be serious.

this is the nature of the forecasting models - they are far from perfect. The same goes for temperature forecasts from you local weather man, they are basing their forecasts the same way and it far from perfect in the 3-5 day. Rather than stating the uncertainty in the models in paragraph form, we are spitting out what they are showing and there is more advantages then disadvantages to this method. You are just going to have to realize that East Coast predictions are going to be less reliable in the 3-5 day forecasts. If we were 90% dead on 5 days out, then we should also open up a psychic hot line.

West coast forecasts are different, as the swells are generated several to many days out.

If Swellinfo is changing the forecasts, so are the other sources. Swellinfo is setup to do this much more efficiently and gives the most appropriate data for your location.
