I was actually talking about brand, lens et cetera. I do want to get into film myself, but I don't have the money just as of yet. (Obviously Nikon because I already have an assortment of Nikkor Lenses)
oh, its like a promark 3000? or something? i do know its an old piece of crap i got from my school, but i'm not sure on the brand name. its not a nice canon or nikon or anything.
as i said, i just started. just has a normal focal length stock lens on it.
i actually prefer film pictures to digital prints i've seen, you can get much better density in black and white with film i think.
it is a bit expensive to buy paper and film though, but i think its better.
tbing is that the 50mm f/1.8D Nikkor lens that you're talking about in these photos? i've been looking into getting one. the small d.o.f. is incredible. and i've heard they're only around 100 bucks?

Look at the small range of focus. The bokeh is incredible with this new lens. I loveeeee it.

YupI compared the 1.4 and the 1.8.
The 1.4 is a metal body, where the 1.8 is plastic. ~$320 for the 1.4 and you can find one for $100 for the 1.8. Only a partial step wider... which is it really worth it for ~$220? Stopped to around f/2.0-2.5, they are equally sharp. The small DoF is amazing with it. I say just pick it up. Its a great addition for any indoor work or where you want to shoot with just a street lamp.
I took a shot at night, ISO 400, 1/13s EV +1.7 and no flash, and it came out perfect.
Only thing, its not AF-S, so if you shoot with a D40, D40x or D60, its MF only. But I don't have a problem with it. But if your body has the autofocus mechanism on it, you'll be fine. They are coming out with a 1.4 AF-S, but its supposed to be in the $400 price range. There is the focus meter on it which tells you approximately how far your focus is. Minimum focus is ~1.5 ft.
Takes amazing pictures. I recommend it
na im not in college yet got 2 more years. but ive been to college parties with some people preety sweet. but none of them havent had a mini ramp in it. ill make sure when i get a dorm to put a mini ramp in it, as long as my roommate doesnt cares.

I really like that HDR, its not overdone, just enough to bring out the highlights and shadows of each object. Well done
