    so when skimming do you ever actually hit the wave or are you one of those that skim in an inch of water like your picture? serious question.. cause if you actually can hit the waves and ride them and your a half decent swimmer with a quick pop up just start with like a 6'2 thats what i did. picked surfing up pretty quick

    Ive been riding waves for a few years now and have gotten pretty good on my Vic... That pic is just one of many... I can swim good, the only thing that im not sure of is how ill be on the pop up-- thats why i was thinking a longer board like a 7'6" or close to it... Catching a wave on a skimboard is way different but the ride should still be the same...

    hey hey now. that is a radical action shot. it oozes athleticism and you can practically see space bending behind him as he sizzles across the action zone. he needs to trade in that old vic for a state of the art sandpiper skimboard though. KB4L would never lead you wrong. besides, it is too cold to surf now.

    Actually this pic was taken just after a pop shuv it in about an 2 inches of water... My boy was a little late with the shot... He at least got a decent pic of my end ride lol... Dont worry ill post another pic after i come back from Costa in 2 weeks...

    no thats not that has to be much later if that happened non of the water is splashed and youd be catching your balance a little more... and kneeboarder el o el

    I would def. have to go with KB4L on that one. I think the best board i have ever riden was a sandpiper. This is why i still crush one. I feel there might be a little bit of jealousy in there air. I think somebody, not mentioning any names, might not be able to do a shove-it on any type of board. That is not a world i live in, thank god.

    The pic wasnt intended to prove my ability to you, it was for my profile pic lol... but i assure you that it was taken a few seconds after.. lol... I'm not here to dicuss my SB skills with anyone... However, I will def throw down if someone wants to meet up for a good day of SB... Anyway My original question was about surfing not my pic lol... I appreciate your advice on my surfing question though..
