The game was awesome, what can I say. Every at bat, and every inning was exciting. We had the the second to last row at the top of the stadium (and a 20mph back-wind kicking through the top seats there). Temps in the 30's, but we can dressed prepared.
Before the game, the parking-lot was rockin with tailgaters, prob most of which weren't coming into the game. We got to watch both teams have batting practice in left field. Then, by game time the stadium was so alive. The bottom of the 6th, when J Werth drove in Jenkins, people were phanatic. Then, when baldelli hit the home run in the 7th for the rays, the stadium went completely silent, nobody said anything. Of course, Phillies came back on the huge double by Pat the Bat, which was great since he didn't get a hit all series and will prob be his last at bat as a philly. And, when Lidge through the last strike out in 9th, the stadium erupted!
Getting out of the stadium and into the street, people were just high fiving each other everywhere. The street outside the stadium was completely filled with people partying and going crazy. These guys pulled down a lamp post that I had to run out of the way of. This limo made its way through the street, and the fans just pounded it for like 5 minutes, before the police rushed forward with masks and beating sticks. We hung around on the street for like an hour, and people in Philly prob hung around all night.
I wish I had brought my nice camera... to show some good photos, but it was an experience.
