I was out there at around 10:30, right before the wind began to pick up.
I was out north of the north end pier on CB. It was hefty waist with a few chest to shoulder high sets. It was kinda rough and super drifty.
yeah no one was out cause wblive called thigh-waist all day until the afternoon report
it looked like absolute **** early on, when it was supposedly "pumping head high glass"
Think what you want, don't be jealous just cause you missed out. I'm glad others are affirming the size, I was wondering what the hell was going on out there. I showed up with my longboard(after seeing a knee/thigh report ) and found chest high shorebreak barrels. After 10ish the outside started to break really fun and it was perfect 'till the wind picked up. Bet it was pretty fun at low tide though...
it was definitely not pumping head high glass on sunday...come on people, particularly in the morning. if you live there you know what i'm talkin' about. tide was way on it early and shorebreak was not working well. i surfed north side of mercers later sunday and there were maybe a few shoulder sets at best, and certainly a bit drifty. it was definitely fun as hell, but lets not blow loads here. i too was a little surprised at how uncrowded it was when i paddled out, but that's the last thing i would ever complain about.
