Too far out to forecast anything with reasonable accuracy. so the answer is... maybe? The forecast will most likely decrease dramatically in size as we get closer too.
come on dude it's a freaking week away this isn't nostradamus.com
if the forecast stays exactly the same and the winds are west at 30+ knots, then yeah, it'll be clean. Good luck dropping in.
yeah, just like monmouth county was called to be chest high on thanksgiving 2 days out when there wasn't a line bigger than knee. kthx

Yeah, next Wednesday around midday looks alright. I'm a temporary west coast transplant and don't know how storms exiting the east coast correspond to incoming swell. In the Northwest everything was always approaching us. More like nor'easters out here.
Anyone care to explain what a storm system leaving the east coast would mean for swell heights in the days following?

its not so much the storm leaving is what creates the swell, it more less cleans it up. Say theres a decent sized storm comes through creating some eh 1-2 ft over head chop, it goes through and so on, the next day it will most likely have off shores and shoulder to head high then the next day waist highish with semi off shores..then flat.
magicseaweed, which is almost always off, is calling 19ft 10 secs 37mph ssw winds with the swell coming from the south as well...looks like it will be super drifty sloppy, and most likely around head high...always take half off of what magicseaweed calls for
also, friday or saturday will most likely be the day to go.
