    Surfing in Mon. Cty today?

    Is anyone going out? Will it be surfable, and if so, what time?

    I usually go out in Deal. But would the winds be better suited for another beach?

    stiff SSW winds today, so its going to be sideshore chop in Deal. Take a look on a map, and you can see the coast curves a more E facing, and then a bit to the north as you head towards sandy hook.

    So, a bit cleaner to the north... But, expect sideshore chop for pretty much everywhere today. Friday is looking like the best option right now.

    The cove (sandy hook) will probably be cleaner today as stated....but significantly smaller.

    Deal should be ok if you know where to go.....There are plenty of jetties that can block the wind. A tad north of Phillips and you should be golden.
