    Seaside Heights/ Casino Pier

so following the reports this great side put out i thought id take one of my last days off from school and catch some good surf.

swellinfo said it would be about waist to chest high.

got there at around 10. the north side of the pier was going off pretty good with some nice solid quick sets coming through. bout 6 people out.

this died at about 1130/12 so i went to check the south side of the pier. was much bigger then the north side. head high or bigger, but was closing out a little bit but if you caught it right you could get some quick barrels and long rides. i left around 1. started to calm down.

it was awesome. best way to start the new year. anyone else out today?

  2. went out at darlington in deal at like 1 till 3 it was pretty sweet, there were some insane sets that were definitely overhead

  3. I had stopped at deal also but I seen chop so I said forget this maybe belmar will be cleaner sets turns out it was cleaner but not too big bodyboarded from like 2:30-5:15 till I couldnt see the waves infront of me.

Was a fun day out long rides no tubes tho.

nice... there is a fine line in the swell direction on the SSW swells. If the swell direction shifts a few degrees here or there it makes a difference.
