    Quicksilver 4/3 syncro
Xcel polypro vest with 2mm hood (a really good addition to a 4/3)
Xcel 5mm infiniti split toe boots
    Hyperflex 3mm fusion gloves

[The hyperflex gloves feel good on the hands, but after about 10-15 uses last winter/spring, this year they are flooding with water. Who has the best 5-finger gloves? ONeill? Xcel?

How's that H2Odyssey fullsuit? I was kinda skeptical.

Old-school 3/2 Body Glove fullsuit (I really think its from the 80's but there's no way to tell. The inside is purple and turquoise haha)
    2/2 L/S Ripcurl Classic springy
    H2Odyssey 5mm boots and 3mm hood
5mm Ripcurl penguin flipper gloves < these are nice, they let in some water but are warm

Works for me. AKA poor man's setup

    san diego, ca:

4 mil quicksilver cell. no booties/gloves/hoods required. =(

looks like I will ned all kinds of new equipment if I move back east.

never worn any j mil suits, but as a surfer who surfs everday all winter, I say quicksilver is making the best suits right now.

I tried the ripcurl 4 mil a few years ago. all the seams ripped quickly. sent it back twice.

2 years ago I bought an oneil psycho and hated it. it let water in right off the bat.

so, I went back to the ol trusty quicksilver cell 5.

the cell 6 isn't as good.

but u can put tons of hours on the quicksilver suits. this is my 5th or 6th one.

    everything else dissapointed me.

although I did have to send me cell back after last winter cause it has a weird lining that was coming apart. 2 weeks later they sent me a brand new one. sick!

Sure what the hell wear a 4/3 all winter, whatever, but split toe boots are silly! Ninja!LOL. And who are you kidding with 3mils? Talk about being taken on a gimmick. They don't make you surf better. And they split your toe away form all the warmth of the foot. 7mil O'neil Heat round toe. You can't feel a difference between a 3, 5 or 7 while surfing and why wouldn't you just wear 7mil during the winter? They can't be beat, the only pair you need all year, get a new pair when the temp goes back under 50 the following year. New pair every year. You can surf with your hands cold and your-ass half frozen off or maybe even with some brain freeze. But you can't surf with the "Club Foot".

Boots, The most important part of the whole setup. 3mils!

I like my 3mm boots, i change over to them as soon as the water is warm enough.... call my crazy but having that extra bit of sensitivity in my feet makes the whole wetsuit setup that much more bearable... + they are easier to slip on than my thick boots.
