Hey, I'm thinking about gettin my first tattoo. Right now im thinking about getting an a frame wrapping around my hip sort of. Just wondering if anyone else has any tattoos of waves, or opinions on whether it should be color or black and white, and if you think ts a good idea in the first place.. thanks
Okay, do not take this the wrong way. If you have so many questions ( uncertainties ) about something so permanent, your certainly not ready for one. I have many tattoos and there all mine, meaning I thought of them or decided on my own to get them. When the time is right you will have all the answers figured out. I guess what I am saying is, if you get what other people say, then you will disappointed because you got someone else' idea tattooed on you. I hope you are not offended by this. Have fun.

im kind of in the same boat. i really wanted a tat of an actual wave but i looked at them extensively online and came to the conclusion that they all look like POOP. and unless its perfect i dont want it. independent has a really good reputation so i need to go there and see what they have to offer.
i found a design that i really like online, its just more of a conceptual wave, like an arch i guess with what i was told by 2 people to be celtic knots on it too, im not celtic so im going to have that part altered. i would show you but i dont want anyone stealing it. i have had the design on my phone background so i look at it everyday and i still love it and everyone i show says go for it so im pretty stoked to know just about what i want. just a matter of where now
edit: if there are any artists on here and would be willing to do some rough sketches for me and kind of personalize my idea i would be stoked!

I had my cousin draw up a sick looking wave with a cool sun and rays in the background and a hibiscus flower mixed in. Its more so oval shaped because I want it on my ribs. And it's not going to be real looking, he did it almost like the way 'Lost Enterprises' does their art. He has to finish the coloring in it and then send it up to me (he moved back to Florida). I'm pretty siked to get it..but going to be some time due to being laid off work. Would love to show the design but like others have said, don't want anyone stealing it.
