possible offshore shift this afternoon
Latest models showing an offshore shift late this afternoon/early evening for the de/md. Looks a little bigger than the forecast, prob 2-4' range. short period wind swell, so dont expect a lot of punch. let me know if you get in.
whats the prognosis for tomorrow AM? bleak?
well, if you zoom out the wave maps, you will see a bit of NE fetch developing off cape cod. But, still offshores will be moving in overnight.
The model is showing very little, but keep an eye on the de bay buoy(44009) tomorrow morning, to see if any longer period swell is showing.
wind shift has occurred, oc looks decent.
Cleaned up nice after 2 in DE. Little bigger than 4 feet.
Bethany was better than OC... def glad i decided to go today after missing all those days last week.
Even better, check the Corps buoy sitting right off ocean city since its just 1/2 mile out (less wind chop), and gives swell direction.

you can see the 4 foot 9 second NE pop up right around midnight or so.
