These are the two new boards Al Merrick have just come out with along with other new boards. Do you guys think these boards would work on the NJ coast, VA beach and Outer Banks. I was thinking of getting a 6'1 Whip and a 6'3 Tangent if they did

My thoughts are that you should support a local shaper instead of Burton.
agreed, if you want this type of board goto a local shaper and tell them what you want
I'd love to try a Whip, if it's anything like a Flyer I'd say it would be hard to beat. Always wanted to try a Flyer with a swallow tail. I'd go for it if I hadn't just bought a new board.

i think the whip would be good for NJ, the tanget would be ok too, i think its best for a rear footed surfer. For mid atlantic i would be leaning more tord the rookie or the proton tho.
I like both boards and i want to go from my 6'3 Ksmall to a 6'1 whip and get a Tangent as a traveling board and for those days when we a large swell

remember that you should read the info on ci's website as to what size and thickness.
I'm thinking a 6'1 19 1/4 width and 2 3/8 thickness for the Whip
Tangent: 6'3 19 width and 2 7/16 thickness
