the swell that is coming saturday morning/afternoon says its a combination of 2 swells, one being 3.6ft @ 8sec and the other is 2ft @ 10sec... the next day the swell will be 3.6ft @ 11sec and another minimal one. according to the forecast, disregarding the wind and conditions, the wave height will be bigger on sunday. is that because the period is longer? does the combination of 2 swells make things bigger or just disorganized? why do bad things happen to good people?
i said something like this earlier and the two combining make it smaller and worse.
individual swells do not combine and add to each other, so 3.6ft @ 11 seconds will be the biggest.
What about constructive wave interference and rogue waves?

bad things happen to good people now so that down the road they can live life in peace while all the aholes are dying off.
there will be wave to wave interaction in the surf zone, and each break will handle this different. Some areas, combo swells are good, while others are not.
those two swells are going to cancel each other out. so now you can just stay home and plant flowers this weekend.
