I was there for a week about a year and a half ago - had a great time despite pretty bad conditions every day. The locals are super friendly - learn a few Brazilian Portuguese phrases before you go and definitely bring some surf mags to drop off at the bars, they really appreciate that type of thing. The nightlife is really fun and laid back, too (as long as you really, REALLY like reggae, lol!). Have a great trip!
Heading to Brazil next week, surfing in a town called Itacare.
Anyone know anything about it? Thanks
Florianopolis would be best. Where you are staying it's sandy beach break There are plenty of surf spots there. But, either way this time of the year down there is no good. You are looking at 2ft waves at best. July/August is the time to go. Sorry to break the news to you.
Oh, and some advice If it looks like a woman, It might not be. :P
