    .......Aug 15th - Sept. 15th is all I have known my whole life as "hurricane season"

    I known "officially" hurricane season starts soon. But, I guess we just don't get strong hurricanes here till usually mid August.

    I hear ya, we got lucky and had a tropical pulse in early June I think 2 years ago, the day before I went to CR if I recall. Swell was on 6/6.

    The last few years, we have had 1 very good storm in June. Not big hurricanes, but smaller tropical systems that have rode up coast, and created solid surf.
