    I'll bet it stays TD status. Water can't be warm enough for the TS upgrade. Can it???

    NHC has it going to a trop storm in the next 6 hours.. then quickly coming back to TD status!

    The waters warm enough for it to become a TS for sure. But, for how long is the question.

    How warm does it have to be to generate TS? It could only be like 45-55F out there, right?

    Not 100% sure.... I think around 80° But, we are talking about surface temp of the water. That storm is over 300 miles out to sea where the water is way warmer than here. (close to 80&#176

    btw - the water temp here now is around 60°

    Yes!!!! I saw a few people out over last weekend with just boardies. I instantly assumed they were bennies. But, you never know.

    I mean it's warming up but, it still isn't warm enough for me to just go boardies.

    Wow, I didn't realize the water out there was warmer. I thought deeper = colder, so how come its warmer out there?
