speaking of jelly stings, the back of my arm got lit up this morning. Adowcett got it too, his was wrapped all the way around his arm.
No, the mention he made of jelly fish and the photo are completely unrelated, that was something else.wtf is this? it was a photo on todays daily photos on wblivesurf. is this a sting or something/
They were out in full FORCE this morning, that was the worst one I've gotten in a while. 6 inches wide and wraps around most of the arm.speaking of jelly stings, the back of my arm got lit up this morning. Adowcett got it too, his was wrapped all the way around his arm.
Well, since I did not read any kind of "report" that you speak of. I just look at photos since im 3000 miles away, not reports. If I see a picture of a waist high wave, it must be a waste high day. Im not seeing the validity in your statements since the information you are seeing is on a completely different page, but whatever. I guess you are saying that on that website, there is a surf report category that explained jelly fish in the water that day... But since that is not the page I was looking at, I still dont know what your talking about...
Nice cat picture though. Thats pretty awesome.
Zach, generally the photos are posted just above the report.
PSA for anyone who gets stung by a jelly/
1. There isn't enough ammonia in your urine to help the sting. So no matter what your friends try to convince you, pissing on it won't help.
2. Vineger will help with the sting, put some in a spray bottle and spray it on.
3. Get some of this http://www.woundedwarriorointment.com/
It will help with the swelling, as well as the itching that will develop in a day or so.
I got stung by one last fall. I had some apple cider vinegar in my knapsack on the beach so I got right out of the water and sprayed some on the sting--it didn't help at all.
I mentioned the jellyfish sting a couple of weeks later to a doctor. He said I should have scraped the barbs out with a credit card and then put hot water on it. Next time it happens, I'll run to my car and get a credit card to use, but hot water isn't something that's available at the beach.
