finally someone who knew exactly what happened. I was out from 2:30 - 7:15 or so. At first everything was sloppy and totally disorganized with very few waves not closing out. South winds were obnoxious. The waves were about 3-4 foot tho with occasional 5-6 footers. Around 4:30-5 the waves started jacking up a little bit and I wiped out, got inside, and couldn't make it back out (horribly unlucky lol). I tried a few times, and just ended up waiting for the waves to die down. Around 6, the the winds finally stayed west constantly and the sets became better and cleaned up. They became more organized and I attempted to get out, which I was able to do with ease. The sets that rolled in were enormous compared to before, around 6 foot for the usual sets with easy ~8-footers coming in frequently. It was really unexpected and amazing. Great end for the day.

I would say it was 4-6 foot with occasional overhead sets. Cleaned up nice right before dusk. Got smaller once it got dark

    Talking

all you guys are talking bout the jersey shore and ocmd but after watching everything i could from sunday, i wonder if any of you paddled out in VB. sure there wer probably good sets rolling in farther north around there but if you didnt paddle out at all at the neptune fest, then dont judge it. i promise you guys that on sunday, VB gott some of the best waves from this swell. the morning was easy 3-5 feet, constant sets and sw winds. as the day went on the sets just got bigger and bigger until 3 when it was close to high tide. but before that, the winds switched west at bout 7:30 and it was game on with as many 4-7 foot barrels you could wish for. the sets had about six to seven waves for each one with straight w/wsw winds all day. it was deffinetely one of the most fun days this year. if you dont believe me, then that sucks for you. it was kegging and i have the proof to show you.

    Monmouth County was FUN!

Was solid overhead with some 1-3 ft overhead sets rolling through periodically where I was out. The drift was RIDICULOUS though, anyone else have to deal with that? I could have paddled from Asbury Park to Belmar if there wasn't any drift! (sarcasm) I wasn't at a spot protected by a jetty though, it was breaking way past the jetty. Some monster tubes were rolling in...The waves were def. not as big as Bill, but about the same size as Danny where I was.

the current was worse than the first day of danny when it was real bad. A good 10-15 min paddle out. I tried to stay ontop of the sandbar where i was at but not a chance. Skis would have been nice...

yeah but the current was only in the whitewater. you literally moved 100ft in 10 seconds if you paddled a little. but, as soon as you made it out it was still
