I've accidently speared my nose through a friends board (freak accident) no ding (can't say much for my friends board..) I've landed in the middle of my board with both feet while trying a failed floater... nothing more than a pressure ding.
I'm not too sure about the parabolic stringer's durability, but once I get the cash, I'm gonna get a high-performance board from him. Defintiely order custom - he'll tailor a model to your size for no extra charge.
