I believe I remember a few people saying that they had custom Green Room's shaped for them a while back. First, How well did Jimmy work with you? Also, Was the finished product
the same as you ordered? Last one....How long before you had it in your hands after you ordered it?

I was involved in the last topic with Greenroom, but I was confused. There is a "GreenRoom" custom board shop in OB in San Diego that makes really really sick fishes etc, all with ridiculous attention to detail and art etc... But the Wilmington Boys verified that these are two different shop/companies with no connection, so unfortunately, I can only vouche for a different green room all together, sorry.Originally Posted by respecttheocean

I have ordered several customs from Jimmy. He is great to work with and his boards ride better than any thing out there. I have ordered customs from S.O.D., Bobby Webb (action) and Ricky Carroll. Jimmy’s are much better. He knows what works better than better than I do. He uses the best materials, carbon fiber, epoxy, Marko foam, etc. My cousin jumped on my 6’3 upside down, no problem…duck dove into a rock in CR, no ding. If you have question, talk to Jason at the shop…he a very knowledgeable and won’t try to push anything on you. Board complication time 3-5 weeks.
I have a Whiskey Fish shaped by Jimmy, and it's AMAZING for the waves we get on the norm, and on the rare occasions that it's big and glassy, the board works even better, it's super fast, but not as loose but that's because it's wider and thicker and I could be riding mine a few inches shorter. But I've duck dived under a shorey to find that the sand was a foot below, fins intact, nor cracks or dings whatso-ever. I've accidently speared my nose through a friends board (freak accident) no ding (can't say much for my friends board..) I've landed in the middle of my board with both feet while trying a failed floater... nothing more than a pressure ding.
I'm not too sure about the parabolic stringer's durability, but once I get the cash, I'm gonna get a high-performance board from him. Defintiely order custom - he'll tailor a model to your size for no extra charge.
the parabolic stringer is still as durable as a single stringer as it still has the support for the board, my next board after i get a retro fish will be his carbon fiber high performance shortboard.
I've heard the the middle of the decks are softer on parabolic' because of no middle stringer support, but Im not sure how that relates to long-term durability. But, once I save up enough money so that I won't drain my bank account on just a surfboard, I'm definitely buying a Green Room, too.

I am getting ready to go down and finalize the details for the board tomorrow.
"the foam has the same density center or parabolic . it actually feels better when the board breaks in the stringer doesnt stick up and hurt your chest. parabolics perform much better than center stngers!"
and that is what jimmy said about the parabolic and center stringer.
True dat, true dat, I always hated that ridge where my stringer is.
