lost surfboards deteriorating?

I don't know you, but you are baggin on a great shaper (Matt Biolos) that has mentored and employeed a LOT of fantastic shapers here in Southern California over the past couple decades. Shapers (and legends) like Brian Bulkley,Todd Proctor, Noah Budroe, Garth Day, & Tommy Moore which you refer to (with disdain) as "ghost shapers" make a living feeding their families ghost shaping for Matt (as well as shaping boards under their own label- BB is a north shore legend!). Hell, Tommy Moore from your own beloved East Coast ghost shaped for Matt. And Todd Proctor- do I even NEED to explain to you how good he is??? I don't care if others on this "issue" backed you up". If you want to publicly bust on a great shaper (both the speed demon and the rnf are two of the best shaped boards for Southern California, and the Rocket is a great shape too) on a forum, you will find push back.

You mention AM, you do realize that Al also had fantastic ghost shapers too, right? Shapers like Malcom Campbell and Marlin Bacon. ALL major shapers have ghost shapers, punk. That does NOT mean they are poor in quality. The shaping HAS NOTHING to do with the glassing!

If you have an issue with a glass job or a board from Lost period, go on the surfermag.com forum and call Matt out on it. If somebody buys a Lost board that is super light and has very light glassing, they should NOT be suprised that the boards are going to last a very short time. Everybody who buys one that knows that these are performance boards, glassed lightly, and are made to last with a much shorter lifespan than other heavier glassed boards. People who know surfboards know this going into their purchase. If you purchase a ...Lost board, expect a short but blisful life out of the board. That's it. No need to bust on them, no need to call them out, or call their quality out. If you want a ...Lost board that will last, buy a carbon fiber model.

Were did I ever bash LOST????? Where did I say there boards suck???? All I did was say I have seen the same issue the original post starter mentioned. I didnt bash Lost, its shapers and its team .

Yeah I have had 3 lost to be exact a 6'2 meyham , a 6'4 SDIII the last one was a 5'8 . And like I said I wold buy them then sell them after a cpl of months and buy something else.

The whole issue here is me and few other here have seen the problem that the poster was having. Thats when Mr. Dreads started his bashing.

I and like I said if you were read my post . If the defect was on Lost's end I am sure they will make things right but, Since we have had no futher input from the thread starter we will not know.

Yes I do longboard but what does that have to do with the issue???? I only own a longboard.

It is common knowledge that a lightly glassed board will not last long . Lost boards are a perfomance minded board . But stringers coming out or apart or fin boxes "poping out" dont usually happen unless there is abuse by the rider or something happening in the building process.

But like I stated before we can not determine what exactly has happend without more info form the thread starter which has not posted any more on this topic.

Yeah I said I wanst impressed with losts surfboard. Where is that bashing them ??? Thats my opinion last time I checked this is America and I am allowed to have one. I wasnt impressed with them not becuase of the craftsmanship but because I just didnt like how the boards performed for me and like I said I would buy them ride them and get rid of them when I was bored with it and I would move to something else.


But for you to say I directly bashed LOST , its Shapers or anyone or thing relate to there company you would be wrong.

This was a topic was about the what could be causing the issue with the thread starters board . And he asked if was a comon issue. We gave him some suggestions and some insight.

Since we dont know anything else about the thread topic its only speculation and why his board "fell apart " like it did cause they havent replied with and other info . Did I bash LOST, or it shapers???? No I didnt all I did was give him some insight on what possibly could have caused what might have caused his issue with his board. Others have seen it too , others bashed LOST , But I dont see where I bashed lost or its shapers, Ect.
