Unfortunatly it probably was. I know of a man who "accidentally" fell into a train station... they can only call it a suicide if the family consents to it. With the man im refering to, his family didnt consent so the news ran the story as if it were a tragic accident.

Google it. You would be amazed by all the towns and cities out there that are dealing with this problem. It's sad when I think about how my generation was the ones who became known as the "latch key kids” and we turn around and do the same thing to our kids, then we wonder how f'd up everything is. It sucks that both my wife and I need to work full time in order to live a decent life (by no means extravagant) for our family. It is awesome that my wife is able to work from home and that because of services like WebEx online meetings I no longer have to be on the road 3 weeks a month meeting clients face to face to review routine matters. This allows me to be home on the weekends and after work. We try really hard to be there as much as possible for our kids. But it’s tough.
I think this plays the biggest part, the part time parents. Who do you blame, the parents for wanting a better life and who need to work 50 hours a week?

Mofo has a point. I mean my mom dosent know/ care about most of what goes on in my life... she is too busy with her own. and i can see how for most kids that would tend to **** them up. I mean im lucky that im a workaholic and love school (yes im a nerd) cause i would prob be alot like them if i wasnt.
Okay, I can agree with you not naming one or the other, but I don't know anyone or have met anyone who uses marijuana that couldn't drive because of being impared from it. I just believe it's not on the levels of other drugs out there.
And it sucks, but I say if someone wants to off themselves then so be it. I agree it isn't fair to family and others, but if everything fails, why keep them in misery? It is surfing, the ocean, the water, the weather, simple things such as that, that keep me wanting to be alive and always think it's worth living for those simple things.

Becaues its a final solution to something that will be resolved in time! Its incredibly wrong to the family, some of my closest friends have lost parents to suicide and it really destroys a family. when you kill yourself you kill a part of everyone who ever loved you. Its awful. The girl I mentioned in the other post killed her self over something stupid like a boyfriend dumping her. Tell me how thats "justified"

agreed. I never was one for a fight... but now do you see what i mean when i say that its wrong to commit suicide? cause your earlier post suggests that you think its accecptable... or at least thats how i read it.
It's hard for me to say because I see it on both sides.
Its a sticky subject, and people really dont talk about it enough. I dont think anyone can really understand it tho untill it hits them really close to home like it did for my best friend. its a sticky sub, sad on all ends no matter what you beleive. When the girl died, alot of my teachers took the day to just talk about what we thought and beleived and that really helped me come to what i beleive.
its something i cant ever get. I dont know, maybe im weird but i look forward to the cr**** days just as much as the fun ones.
