exactly my thought. Our sport in one of the only sports where people are not welcome to learn... Granted it sucks when people are out that don't know whats going on and make it dangerous...but try not to get angry at kooks and just show who is dominant. w/o being snooty about it. There is nothing worse then a shredder who thinks his poop doen't stink..

Why do newbs feel so 'entitled' to surf the best spots? When I was starting if there were guys out, i walked up the beach a bit so I wouldn't get in their way.

so many blatant drop ins yesterday and the person who is dropping in would ****in blow the wave. it was freakin sad how many people out there with zero respect the best was they would show up 3-4 of them togethor what is the world coming to. I am really suprised none of them broke there necks diving head first into knee deep water.

I love the term "donkey" to describe these types - where did that come from? It fits so well - a stupid, disagreeable, next-to-useless animal. In all fairness though, yesterday was kind of a weird day; very ledge-y & fast, many surfers, longtime locals who kill it were getting slammed on those drops

It was first used on the surfer mag forum by Who'sYourDaddy to describe clueless kooks here in Southern California. YourDailyDonkey (yourdailydonkey.blogspot.com/) has spawned from this deragatory term. WYD is actually a pretty cool guy.
Great term. We use to post a daily donkey on the erbb all the time, then he made a blog outa it.

I think I might be spending way too much time during the day on too many random surf forums for too many years...
