Do you seriously log your surf sessions? Do you count the days that you get in the water, or just the ones that you surf?

If a person dont know alot about swell formation it is sometimes a good idea to keep a writen log about wave size, swell direction and wind direction for what ever places you surf the most . After awhile you understand and know where to go under certain weather conditions.

I don't really keep track but I'd say; there are 52 weeks in the year and I don't surf for about 12 of them. So that leaves 40 weeks of possible surf time. From there, I would guesstimate that I end up getting out there about 20-30 times per year.
Its like that wacco dude that has surfed everyday for 15 years....The movie was one of those beginner surf flicks like riding giants or step into liquid....I get logging info but just saying you had 32 sessions? thats kinda weak..... How many times have you flogged the dolphin this week? anyone?
anyhow ive prob been out at least 60 times in 2009

for me i havent surf for a totall of about 3 months out of the whole year since january till now. i have had a knee injury in the spring and was out of surfing for 2 months then i was busy for a week here and there during the summer months. but i try to get out in the ocean every day. and even if theres no waves you can go fishing or just paddle around and gain paddling speed.
