This past swell was horrible with people showing up in Cape May. Poverty was by far the most crowded, you couldnt park within two blocks of it. I went out at two other beaches and even there it was 10-20 people. At first it was just my friend and two others then truck loads of people show up out of no where who werent from around here.

Don't take me the wrong way I dont mind a few other people, but when 10+ show up and give you **** and piss the locals off it isnt fun. Doesn't help that every swell that shows up there is atleast one topic on here saying "lets go to Cape May"

It's not everyone's fault all we had was Nor'Easters which produce NE winds and Cape May is the only spot that is offshore...

I bet there was a quarter of the people there on that Sunday...

yea last storm it was sooo crowded. i didnt even go down to pov cause i knew it would be insanely crowed. so i went out at broadway which was still packed. Then on that sun everyone left and i surfed broadway by myself. i wish everyone stayed home. whenever theres a good swell other than a northeast its not really crowded then with the northeast winds and swell its crawling with people.

well. Other spots were better on Sunday that was for sure. I was out Friday and Sat of the last big swell and even though Povs was a zoo, you got plenty of waves if you were a little aggressive. the real problem was at the jetty breaks where the takeoff zone is really limited.

yea i know. i always would rather surf broadway or a jetty because theyre within walking distance of my house and pov is kinda far (i dont drive). but there is really only 1 or 2 takeoff spots at the jettys which is a downside of surfing there rather than at pov where its more spread out.

Yeah I saw a mess of ppl at Broadway last swell. I went out one day during the swell caught a few good waves but then looked over the head quarters and there was 3 ppl out and it was peeling so good.
Needless to say I went out over there and caught better surf than broadway had. How has The Rocks been ???? Last time I went out there I got a escort out LOL

This has to be one of the most contradictory posts I have read. you guys complain about the crowds then you discuss the spot you were surfing that was less crowded...

Considering Broadway and Headquarters are right next to each other it doesnt really matter, you can paddle to one another in a few minutes. Basically if theres people in Cape May each spot will be packed except for 1 or 2 beaches some dont go to.

Actually it does matter. I have seen it close and be dumping right on the beach At Broadway and down at HQ be the very opposite

I belive its cause there is more beach between BW and HQ than between BW and THE COVE at HQ the beach sticks out a bit farther . Also the bottom contures are diferent as well. HQ 's bottom gradually gets shallower where BW's is less gradual and the beach is steeper by the beach where Hq's beach greadually drops off as you get to the water.
With this type of beach you normally see it get dis-organized at full high tide cause all the water has no place to go kinda like a washing machine

Wasn't talking about the breaks, I was responding to the guy saying that you were giving away a spot, when the people at Broadway would be able to see headquarters anyway; so it doesn't really mater.
