I have been surfing this spot for years and thanks to this forum site I can get a better idea on the idiots that are out there. Most people that surf this spot are cool and have fun sharing the waves, but there a few wave hoogs. So if you are one or those who like to hoog waves then expect much disrespect.
See you all in the water... 12/9/09. I know you will all be there because the Naval jetty will be the only good surf spot on this south swell.

I've been surfing Herring Pointless since 79' with The Hoss himself, back when you needed a military id to surf the spot. Back when stumps stood 2 foot out of the water, rocks, and broken concrete lined the bottom. Back when it was actually a surf spot and not a place where you paddle out and see 8 guys are paddling for a 3' wave, 2 pull out because the drop is to steep, 2 guys wipe out, and the other 4 ride straight in to shore. So nobody needs to be claiming anything at this spot.
