expeience level is key
Your expeience level is key to purchasing a performance board. I know your only 126lbs, but I wouldn't go too short. I would recommend staying between 5"9' to 6"2' if you are an experienced surfer.
Channel Islands Surfboards make some great boards, they put alot of effort into design, plus they provide some good web tutorials on their boards which will give you a better understanding of surfboard designs. Don't get me wrong, they do push boards that are made for the pros and not necessarily for the average surfer.

Tri Fin Box for a more stable ride and you can tweek the performance with different fin sets.
Quad box set for looser rides, good for tail slides and getting through whitewater sections. - Check out Kelly Slater taking the quad design to the extreme at PipeMasters 2009. Link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cisPig6kDg0
Kelly has an awesome board that is great for high performance in all ranges of surf, which is good for east coast conditions 'THE KSMALL 08' Link: http://cisurfboards.com/sb_ksmall.asp
I currently ride a 6"3' Black Beauty, Tom Currens signature board when the swell is pumping. When the swell is weak I ride my custom WRV Fast Fish Tri Fin.
Good Luck Searching... I hope you have a few bucks, because surfboard prices have gone up.
I ride a 5'8" js bruce irons small wave board. The quad idea sounds what im looking for and ive been lookin at some models.
